The No-Peel "Peeled" Potato

A friend of mine sent me an email with a link to this video. I knew you could do something similar with tomatoes, but I never knew you could do this with a potato!

This is cool!

No more excuses for me for not making "real" mashed potoatoes for my husband!


  1. You aare right, that is really cool!!! Usually when I peel a potato, I peel half of it away. What a waste.

  2. I use this same technique when I make mashed potatoes, except I just put the potatoes in cool water rather than using the ice. I learned this when I purchased a pair of tater mits. (It's actually the secret to how tater mits work.) This has been a life saver to me; I've always hated peeling potatoes.
